The New Jersey Nets and Orlando Magic are in serious discussions involving Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson for Orlando's Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee. The deal could be completed by the end of today.

Follow up...Trade is officially confirmed. This now makes Turkoglu expendable. I think the Magic became a weaker team. VC is an incredible athlete no doubt but Turkoglu kept that team together and his ability to make plays for others. This puts a huge burden on Nelson to be the sole playmaker and to remain healthy.
